Last week we talked about how to stay graceful and chic when traveling through airports. Staying along the same line of traveling, and more specifically, traveling for business, I want to talk about one of the easiest Staying along the same line of traveling, and more specifically, traveling for business, I want to talk about one of the easiest piece to get in and out of when you're getting ready for business meetings!
Psst... this ASOS piece is STILL AVAILABLE AND 50% off now!!! GET IT BEFORE IT RUNS OUT!!
So whether you're going in the office and looking for a simple fail-safe outfit, or looking for something you can slip on quickly after you've landed in your business trip destination, this dress is it!
My favorite feature of it is how flattering it is without making you too curve-conscious. It has a ring on the left side of the wrap, and on the right is the piece of tie that loops through the ring to tie the dress together. It's very comfortable, and do you see that slit there?? It makes the dress more interesting and adds just a little bit of sexiness!

I'm headed to Boston next week for another business trip. I am looking forward to being in downtown Boston for business! Are any of you from the area?
I didn't share this openly on my social media channels, so this may come as a surprise to many of you. I was in a major car accident just about 11 days after our wedding in March. I totaled my car, my most favorite car in the world, probably ever, that I'd just paid off about 3 months before. The car title is still sitting in my drawer, fresh and winkle-free.
Yesterday, we celebrated being an officially married couple for one month. Time really flies!! It's ridiculous to think that it's been a month already. Yet things have felt different since we got married - we truly are a team now and we're in this together! That makes everything feel that much sweeter. It's quite incredible!
Gushing aside, I wanted to share with you guys my outfit hunting result when I was preparing for my bridal shower (in February) and rehearsal dinner (the day before the wedding). Both outfits are affordable (under $150), comfortable, super flattering, and most importantly, scream BRIDAL!
Since our wedding in mid-March, I've been asked about our honeymoon constantly. What we actually decided to do right after the wedding was to spend time with friends and family that flew in from out of state and out of the country. We spent a lot of time in the Carlsbad, California area with the family immediately following the wedding, and later in the week went to Vegas for a 3 day trip with my closest friends since college.. which brings me to this post today!
Spring is upon us!
But before we delve fully into florals and pastel colors only, let's talk about a fail-safe outfit template that I've stumbled upon recently: comfy trousers with a sporty flare topped with a nude trench vest that's warm and versatile for the Spring weather.
As a bride-to-be, this is perhaps THE MOST exciting part of the entire wedding planning process! To me it was the part that I wish would NEVER end; so I knew I had to document this part of wedding planning on the blog!
In this post, I will show you gowns from 5 different designers in various prince points. I let my consultant, Stacy, pick these out knowing what I like and don't like. I'll reveal the designer of my ACTUAL GOWN at the end of the post but, of course, not the actual dress. That will come after the wedding!
If you don't know what "athleisure" means, it's a new word that's been created to mean the fusion of athletic wear and leisure wear. You can also think of it as styles that make your everyday wardrobe more sporty and athletic.
Now, this obviously doesn't apply to the lawyers and business executives out there and their everyday outfits. But for the rest of us in the creative industry, sales and marketing, or smaller office where dresscode is more casual than business, you might be able to get by with it!
Everyone has their go-to outfit on days when they don't want to stand in front of a closet and think. If you have to dress for work 5 days a week, you're probably one of these people. For most of us, the concept of the capsule wardrobe is not new - find what works for you, and stick with it. Whether you've gotten around officially defining what that look is for you, it's never too late to start thinking about it.
Today on Cubicle Chic, I'm sharing with my "template" is, when it comes to something that ALWAYS works for me, Jessica, yours truly. But that's not it. I have 2 other career blogger friends whose styles are just on-point and I absolutely adore. I am sharing what their go-to outfits are with you too! Don't forget to keep scrolling to the bottom...
We are officially under 1 month away from the big day! Having just gone through a big of a crisis (more on that later) in my career, I am so ready to finish the last mile of my wedding planning process on a high note and in 3 weeks, walk down the aisle and marry my best friend!
In the next coming weeks, I have a hair appointment, final dress fitting, video shoot to finish up, and an appointment to apply for a marriage license. But I wanted to share some REAL insight and advice on what I've learned in the last 11 months with you today. If you're a bride to be, listen closely.. and if you've been there and done that, read on and laugh with (at) me!!
I am literally writing this during the Super Bowl game on Sunday. Did you guys enjoy the game? I loved Gaga's performance and those drones were amazing! Oh and the first ever over time in NFL history? Pretty amazing!!
So if this post sends you on a shopping spree, I apologize... JK, it's exactly my intention, HAHA!
First of all, thank you SO much for all of your responses to my last interview with Amanda from Poshmark. I love how some of you asked her more questions and we had more insightful conversation even after the article published. It’s such an incredible honor that I get to chat with these ambitious career women who are doing incredibly challenging but amazing things in their field. I hope to bring you more in the future!
